Toni C. Ward and Lou McKenna‑Mayes lead TONIBOBANDLOU CIC, combining visual decision science, lived-experience leadership, and cross‑sector project delivery to create innovative decision support tools for women navigating breast reconstruction. Their partnership integrates fine art photography, qualitative insight, operational rigour, and patient‑centred design.

Together, they co‑produce initiatives such as BeliEVE and BRAVE, shaping new models of patient education across NHS pathways. Their work supports women facing mastectomy and reconstruction decisions by improving access to realistic imagery, contextualised information, and lived‑experience insight. Through this approach, they are advancing national conversations on how visual decision aids can improve understanding of mastectomy and reconstruction options, and strengthen informed, confident decision‑making.

Dr. Gemma McKenna

Dr. Gemma McKenna is a renowned social scientist and Associate Professor at the Health Services Management Centre (HSMC, University of Birmingham). She leads research on patient well-being, co-produces initiatives on mental health, and advises the NIHR Research Support Service Hub on patient-centered policies. Her work at the BRACE Rapid Evaluation Centre focuses on youth mental health, advocating for vulnerable populations. A key advisor in health policy, her insights have shaped guidelines and discussions, improving community-based services and reducing the need for in-patient care.



dennis remoundos

Mr. Dennis Remoundos is a consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust and is a trustee at the charity Against Breast Cancer. He looks after patients with breast cancer, performing breast cancer and reconstructive surgeries. He is passionate about ensuring that his patients are able to choose the path of treatment that is most appropriate for them. Dennis believes in the importance of practicing evidence based surgery and thrives to advance the understanding of breast cancer, ultimately aiming to improve survival outcomes.

Nicola petrie

Miss Nicola Petrie is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Nuffield Health The Manor Hospital, Oxford. Her ethos is aimed at delivering evidenced based care of the very highest quality, which is tailored to meet her patients' individual needs, whatever their age, sex and cultural beliefs.

During her career Miss Nicola Petrie has won a number national and international awards. She has published in peer reviewed journals, has set up Oxford BRA (Breast Reconstruction Awareness) Group and contributes as an examiner for the University of Oxford Medical School

Sarah Plaskett

Lead Nurse for the Breast Reconstruction Team at Oxford University Hospitals.

Sarah Plaskett is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner. She is extremely passionate about innovative nursing care and improving patient experience. Sarah has led numerous quality improvement initiatives and is a strong patient advocate. In 2023 Sarah set up the National Breast Reconstruction Nurses Network (BRNN) to share with colleagues best evidenced based practice, education and to create a networking opportunity within the breast reconstruction nurses community both nationally and most recently internationally.

During her successful career, Sarah has received many accolades and recognition awards for her significant contribution to enhancing both clinical care and experience of her patients.

Gary Booker

With extensive experience in marketing and consumer roles that spans across the UK and internationally, Mr Booker's unique approach has been pivotal in disrupting the norm, adapting to new challenges, and transforming the status quo. Mr Booker has held senior marketing positions in several FTSE 100 companies.

Rob sloss

Rob Sloss is a General Counsel with extensive multinational experience and has navigated complex environments with a focus on ethical practices and legal compliance. His strategic approach to contract negotiations and M&A transactions has been integral to organisational growth. At Chubb Fire & Security he led the development of legal frameworks and an international legal and compliance team.

Rob believes in leveraging his legal expertise to support non-profits and community organisations. His efforts are dedicated to creating opportunities, empowering individuals and fostering sustainable growth within the community.
